The Gerber Sumo is a cool and decent EDC pocket knife for a great price. When opened you immediately notice how the blade and the front of the handle are relatively high. The end of the handle is slimmer. As such the weight is located in the front. The name Sumo was therefore derived from the Sumo wrestling sport where throwing bodyweight forward is an import part.
The Sumo is a true friend to all. The thumb hole and the double-sided lock ensure that you open and close the knife with one hand whether you are left or right-handed. You can also convert the pocket clip.
The blade is made from simple 7Cr17MoV steel. Stainless, easy to sharpen and quite tough. Perfect for daily use. The handle is made from G10. Strong and offers enough grip, and because of the layers in the material very cool. The steel liners are enhanced with a ceramic coating in a bright colour for a cool contrast.
